Unlike most professionals, you will likely not get to meet me until after you hire me. Let me tell you a little about myself and how I got into the home inspection industry.

At one time I was a homebuyer just like you! That’s when I had my first experience with a home inspector and a few things bothered me:

• I felt like the inspection was rushed and that my questions were a nuisance or a distraction to the Inspector.
• Several items wrong with the home were not documented. It took me to point out several obvious problems.
• It was never explained on how to address the items.
• I never heard from the Inspector again!

Needless to say, after just over an hour of work and signing over a $300 check, I was a bit irritated! I was mad that I felt I had been cheated on the value of the inspection. I was mad that had I not been there, obvious items would not have been noted. I was mad that I felt the Inspector was working for the Realtor and that I was a nuisance for being there.

Here’s the important part. I wasn’t mad about defects in the home or that the price couldn’t be negotiated lower. I was mad that the Home Inspector did not set my expectations beforehand and most importantly there wasn’t any discussion or follow up after the inspection.

Especially for a first time home buyer, you expect to be taken care of and be referred the best in the business, not only for value but for customer service.

So why have I told you this story?

We have performed thousands of inspections since 2005. In addition, I am a State Licensed Contractor, which takes years of understanding construction principles and codes to meet the requirements to pass the exam. I have 30 years in the construction industry with experience in remodeling, additions, repairs and new construction.
